Trivia: Francis Ford Coppola shot some scenes of his famous film “Godfather – Part II” inside the millstone.
The millstone, an interesting example of industrial archaeology, is where grapes were pressed in the past. Today, the scent still permeates the lava stone walls. Renovated and modernized, it can host up to 200 participants. On the lower floor there is the ancient cooperage, today it’s an ideal space for small conferences, and services, while on the upper floor you can still see the large cocciopesto tanks (which is a flooring material made of a compound based hydraulic lime and shredded bricks) and the wine press for crushing the must that gives the structure dynamism and the possibility to modify the event according to your needs.
